As tough as it was being in it, I also welcomed it in a way. I have learned that in order to climb out of these unpleasant places we find ourselves, we have to dig within and reassess. For what used to work no longer is. And we need to figure out why. Or what will work now. So "climbing out" seems fitting to me. We end up growing. We end up in a better place.
I have finally just finished a new piece that I am proud of. It seems to be a new direction based in all of my past. But most of all, I am proud that I overcame and did grow. I am excited to see how it continues.
