"Your paintings make me feel homesick in a way that digs up memories that are so deep, memories where I can remember not even one specific detail, a memory of feeling and emotion, and nothing more. I see a place that I once knew, a place maybe from another time, another life. It stirs up a longing to be there once again, to go home." ~Ed, one of my collectors
I call upon shapes, lines and textures of my experiences from nature, which have become part of my soul and where I find peace and safety from the man-made conflicts of day to day living. These imagined landscapes have a surreal element which challenges the viewer, yet they are also filled with a comfortable familiarity which connects and welcomes. So my works are a conglomeration of these memories into thought-provoking surrealistic landscapes which invite through their rich colors, engaging shapes, enticing textures and graceful lines.
